Ladakh sits high in the Indian Himalayas, a cold desert of ochre mountains, whitewashed monasteries and skies so clear the light seems to have weight. Prayer flags snap over passes that cross 18,000 feet and the Indus threads its way between them.
From the markets of Leh and the sand dunes of Nubra Valley to the changing blues of Pangong Lake, Ladakh rewards travellers who take it slowly. Give yourself a day to acclimatise on arrival and the rest of the trip becomes pure wonder.

Real words from people we have sent there.
My brother and I always wanted to explore Leh Ladakh together. Happy Traveller made it possible with a well-organized itinerary and excellent support throughout the trip. We loved our bike rides during the tour which was a dream for both of us. The experience was just amazing . Everything went so smooth. A special thanks to Dolly for her constant support as she and her ground team were always available whenever we needed any assistance. We are Already looking forward to the next trip with Happy Traveller. 100% recommend these guys!
May to September is the main season, when Khardung La, Chang La and Zoji La are open and the weather is settled. Roads to Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake can close after heavy snow outside these months.
Six to seven days is comfortable for Leh, Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake. Add two more if you want to drive in from Srinagar by way of Kargil.
Yes. Inner line permits are needed for Nubra Valley, Pangong Lake and Turtuk. These are arranged for you and the cost is included in our packages.
Leh sits at about 3,500 metres, so the first day is kept free for rest. Drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol on arrival and speak to your doctor about altitude medication before you travel.
Children under three are not recommended and anyone with asthma, heart conditions or altitude sensitivity should consult a doctor first. Given a relaxed pace and a proper acclimatisation day, most travellers manage well.
