Things To Know Before You Go

Yes. A valid Schengen visa is required for Indian passport holders. Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland are all Schengen members, so a single visa covers the whole itinerary.

The aurora season runs from late September to March, when the nights are long and dark. Our Lofoten and Abisko itineraries are built around it, though sightings always depend on clear skies and solar activity.

May to September brings mild weather, green fjords and very long daylight hours, ideal for the classic Norway and multi capital routes. Winter suits the Arctic adventures, husky sledding and aurora chasing.

Winter temperatures in Lofoten, Abisko and Kiruna regularly fall below freezing. Thermal layers, insulated boots and gloves are essential, and specialist gear for activities is provided by the local operators.

Each country has its own: Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krona, Danish Krone, while Finland uses the Euro. Cards are accepted almost everywhere and many places are effectively cashless.
