Day 1
Arrival in the Lofoten Islands, Northern Lights Tour
- Meet our representative at Svolvær Airport and transfer to your hotel.
- In the evening, head out on the Northern Lights tour. Lofoten sits directly beneath the auroral oval, giving good chances of catching the Aurora Borealis.
- The tour visits parts of the islands with minimal light pollution, and your guide, an experienced photographer, will teach you the techniques to photograph the aurora.
- Overnight stay in the Lofoten Islands.

Day 2
Full Day Lofoten in a Nutshell Tour
- After breakfast, set out on the full day Lofoten in a Nutshell tour by minivan.
- Stop at historical sites, beaches and the photo stops you cannot miss at Kabelvåg, Lyngvær, Hov and Henningsvær.
- Learn about the islands’ fishing culture and history, with a taste of Lofoten along the way.
- Venture into the wild heart of the countryside before the final stop at Gimsøy Church, a 12th century wooden landmark set against snow capped mountains.
- Overnight stay in the Lofoten Islands.

Day 3
Sea Eagle Safari & Snowshoe Hiking
- After breakfast, join the two hour Sea Eagle Safari to the Trollfjord, departing from the quayside in Svolvær.
- Sail through Raftsundet into Trollfjorden, some of the most dramatic scenery in Norway, where a large sea eagle population circles overhead.
- Later, join the easy snowshoe hiking tour. All necessary gear and guidance are provided as you walk across soft snow through Arctic wilderness.
- Overnight stay in the Lofoten Islands.

Day 4
Lofoten to Bergen by Domestic Flight
- After breakfast, check out and transfer to Svolvær Airport for your domestic flight to Bergen.
- On arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in.
- Day at leisure to explore on your own. Overnight stay in Bergen.

Day 5
Bergen City Sightseeing Walking Tour
- After breakfast, join the Bergen city walking tour.
- Visit Bryggen, the Fish Market, Bergen Aquarium, the Mount Fløyen funicular station, Tollbodkaia viewpoint, Fredriksberg Fortress and Bergenhus Fortress.
- Take the Floibanen funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for spectacular views over the city, fjord and mountains.
- Overnight stay in Bergen.

Day 6
Bergen to Oslo, Norway in a Nutshell
- After breakfast, begin the Norway in a Nutshell tour, combining train, bus and cruise. Your luggage is transferred separately from your Bergen hotel to your Oslo hotel.
- Visit Nærøyfjord, one of Norway’s most beautiful fjords and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Only 25 metres across at its narrowest point, it is flanked by cliffs rising 1,200 metres, with waterfalls, isolated farms and picturesque villages.
- Experience the Flam Railway, one of the steepest train lines in the world, to Myrdal, then continue by train to Oslo.
- Check in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Oslo.

Day 7
Oslo City Tour
- After a relaxed morning, join the Oslo city tour.
- Visit the Inner Harbour at Aker Brygge, Vigeland Park, the City Hall and Karl Johans Gate.
- See the charming Akershus Fortress, the grounds around the Royal Palace and the Nobel Peace Center.
- Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Oslo.

Departure from Oslo
- After breakfast, check out and transfer to Oslo Airport.

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
- Visa: a valid Schengen visa is required for Indian passport holders.
- Season: this is a winter itinerary. Northern Lights sightings depend on clear skies and solar activity and can never be guaranteed.
- Clothing: Arctic winter temperatures fall well below freezing. Thermal layers, insulated waterproof boots, gloves and a warm hat are essential.
- Specialist equipment for snowshoeing and other activities is provided by the local operators.
- Currency: Norwegian Krone (NOK). Cards are accepted almost everywhere and much of Norway is effectively cashless.
- Electricity: Norway uses Type C and Type F plugs with a 230V supply.
- Daylight hours are short in winter, so activities are scheduled to make the most of the light.
